    KONVERGENCIE 2020 LIVE

An unconventional convergent mosaic of electronic, classical and contemporary music, including the Slovak premieres of Casanova's Sonata by Giovanni Sollima, Dhipli Zyia by Iannis Xenakis, and Aforismi by Vladimir Mendelssohn.

Spanning 60 minutes, the album showcases the wide scope and quality of the festival's productions drawn from a rich archive of live recordings. Half of its duration consists of excerpts from classical works (Mendelssohn – Song Without Words, Dohnányi – Piano Quintet in C minor, Shostakovich – Piano Trio No. 2 in E minor, and others), created in collaboration with renowned Slovak and international performers. The remaining half is divided between 20th-century music (including M. Varga: Antifona, a live recording by J. Lupták and M. Varga; Piazzolla's Five Tango Sensations with B. Lenko, among others) and "non-artificial" music (jazz, world music, cross-genre crossovers).
